Gilles Peterson presents a weekly show based on his iconic Brownswood Basement. For this show Gilles presents DJ Moxie, Berlin’s Daniel Haaksman and a live session from Moonchild.

Moxie

Beginning her career on pirate radio stations and regularly DJing on the London club circuit, Moxie‘s DJing experiences have been as broad and ambitious as her tastes. She now balances a position as an underground mainstay and a regular voice on national radio. She chats to Gilles about the third instalment of her On Loop Compilation which came out in October.

Daniel Haaksman

German DJ Daniel Haaksman is the label head of Man Recordings. As a DJ few can claim to have as much impact on world music, he has given a huge platform to lesser known music from Africa, Asia and South America.

Moonchild

LA based trio Moonchild released their third album Voyager on Tru Thoughts earlier in 2017. Pioneering a unique neo-soul sound with elements of jazz, the band have crafted a sonic space of their own.
