28.12.17Gilles Peterson presents a weekly show based on his iconic Brownswood Basement.
In this special edition, we bring together exclusive live sessions recorded in the Basement over the last few months, from guests based across the world.
China Moses
Los Angeles born singer, China Moses, is the daughter of Dee Dee Bridgewater and Gilbert Moses. She’s been releasing music since she was 18 and now has six studio releases to her name, her most recent being Nightintales, released on MPS in March this year.
Matias Aguayo
Matias Aguayo is a Chilean born, Berlin raised DJ/producer, whose genre-bending body of work is hard to categorise. The main tool for creating his music is his main instrument, his voice, which he uses to slip into different roles and imitate sounds. HIs latest release with The Desdemonas, Sofarnopolis, was released on Crammed Discs earlier this year.
D.A.N
Minimal electro-rock trio, D.A.N formed in Tokyo in 2014. Their unique sound -with influences ranging from house and techno to psychedelic and African music – led them to perform at the Fuji Rock Festival in 2016. Since then they have supported artists including James Blake and Floating Points.
