11.11.19Monthly show from Kyoto, Japan’s original capital city, presented by Shuya Okino, music tastemaker and member of Kyoto Jazz Massive. Shuya is joined by traditional and modern jazz music’s well known DJ and Do it JAZZ!’s Masaki Tamura and the founder and creative director of Curated Kyoto, Sara Aiko.
For this month’s show they are joined by Kyoto-local pianist Marihiko Hara at Venue is Kinse Inn, old Ryokan in Kyoto.
Marihiko Hara
With a focus on the texture / silence that rises from the sound landscape, he works in various media formats from post-classical to acoustic soundscapes, such as stage, fine art, and movies.
He also worked with Ryuichi Sakamoto, stage music for Damien Jare + Kohei Nawa “VESSEL”, Hideki Noda “Under the Sakura Forest”. Participated in the artist collective “Dumb Type”.
