22a return to WWFM with a quarterly show showcasing forthcoming music from the label and their favourite music from across the globe. Dennis Ayler presents their first show of 2021 premiering new music and forthcoming releases from the label including tracks from Tenderlonious, Ruby Rushton, Equinox and Nick Walters. 22a have established themselves as one of the most respected and important independent labels in the UK underground music scene. The South London based label was founded by DJ, producer and multi instrumentalist Tenderlonious back in 2013, due to numerous knock backs, with the idea to take back control of his artistry. Fast forward eight years and the label is approaching its 39th release, with a back catalogue of music spanning house, hip hop, jazz, garage, soul and Indian classical to name a few. Al Dobson Jr, Mo Kolours, Jeen Bassa, Henry Wu (Kamaal Williams), Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Dennis Ayler, Neue Grafik, James Creole Thomas and Sterling Styles (Equinox) have all featured on the label.
