New Music Worldwide: Aitor Etxebarria

Aitor Etxebarria is an independent composer and programer based in the Basque Country. He steps up for a 45 minute mix.
“The mix is the consequence of my last digging years. Some of the records were bought in some second hand stores in Brooklyn or Bilbao. Sometimes I love to buy vinyl just because of the artwork, and then listen to it at home and feel the unexpected. For example, this Ronald Shannon Jackson and the Decoding Society record, I loved the artwork when I saw it in a Williamsburg store a year ago. The artwork is something else. Sometimes it’s nice to buy records without knowing who is the musician because you feel out of your confort zone of art aesthetic.”
