Monthly show from London based producer Auntie Flo (Brian D’Souza), Radio Highlife builds on the sound of the label, exploring the best dance sounds coming from around the world, from rare gems to the hottest new releases rumbling dance floors across continents.

This month Auntie Flo welcomes Gigi Masin, a forerunner of the Italian radio DJ generation and of the ambient music scene since the mid 1980s, ahead of his show at Jazz Cafe.

Gigi Masin

Venetian composer, musician, producer, and polymath. Gigi’s first experiments in the late 1970s were sound collages made while working for theatres in Venice, working with tape loops, field recordings, and turntablism. Releasing his iconic debut Wind in 1986, he is also best known for his work as part of Gaussian Curve, a trio with Jonny Nash and Young Marco.
