Tune in for Oto Nova Japan, a show introducing a new wave of artists and music coming out of Japan, with Worldwide FM’s senior producer and Gilles Peterson’s longtime radio collaborator, Mari*!

A guest mix comes from Slowly, DJ/producer/remixer with a vast music knowledge. His remix and re-edit releases on 7 inches have been highly praised by DJs. He is going to treat us with a mix full of brand new remixes and edits he’s worked on.

The album of the Month is ‘Volume1” by FIC, a collaboration project by the rising stars of the Japanese Jazz scene, pianist Aaron Choulai and drummer Shun Ishiwaka and FKD. The album was recorded in basement clubs around Tokyo, with a crude analogue set up. Each beat tape will feature guests, from rappers, jazz musicians and singers.
