This week on Worldwide FM, we celebrate all things Italian with a special week of programming exploring the underground. Via Italia season highlights the best in forward thinking music and culture from across the nation.

    Monday

    Clap! Clap!
Longtime Jazz player and Black Acre alumni Cristiano Crisci, also known in electronic circles as Digi G’Alessio. With cross genre accolades and support spanning the globe he is already established a one of Italy’s brightest talents. Clap! Clap! delivers an hour mix to celebrate his homeland.

    Tuesday

    Mono Jazz
Great friends of Worldwide FM Mono Jazz welcome Rocco Pandiani (Right Tempo) Vittorio Barabino (Library Wizard) Max Conti aka JazzCat (Pescara) Painè (Compl8 Crew) to the station for a 2 hour show on Tuesday morning.

    Drummers Inc: Tommaso Cappelleto.
Italian musician, producer, DJ and composer Tommaso Cappellato is a musical maverick ‐ running the gamut from free‐form techno to hip‐hop production and jazz improvisation. Mentored by jazz visionaries Harry Whitaker (Black Renaissance), Michael Carvin (Pharoah Sanders) and collaborator with techno master Donato Dozzy, Tommaso’s seemingly unorthodox breadth of style and vision gives us a truly unique new school artist. Tomasso takes over Drummers Inc for this week to showcase the weirder aspect of his record collection.

    Paquita Gordon
We usher in the week with a special mix from Paquita Gordon recorded live at La Triennale di Milano museum in occasion of “Triennale Design Week 2017″. Paquita is resident at club Plastic in Milan and has been an esteemed selector for over 10 years.

    Wednesday

    Locus Festival 2018: Cultural Weaves
Roberta Cutolo hosts a special 2-hour show celebrating the best of the forthcoming Locus Festival and its theme of Cultural Weaves. Roberta will be joined by British songstress and composer Laura Mvula, cinematic funk Italian band Calibro 35, live in session, and our very own Gilles Peterson.

Pete On The Corner with DJ Khalab
The On The Corner Records head-honcho welcomes OTC’s latest signee and Worldwide family member DJ Khalab to talk through his new album and play tracks that have inspired the album.

    New Music Worldwide: SofaTalk
We welcome SofaTalk to our New Music Worldwide mix series. SofaTalk is a unique melting pot of genres, a mix of influences from disco to funk, from neosoul to synthetic boogie through broken beat rythmics, future beats and nu-jazz up to more electronic sounds. He has released on Yam Records, Banoffee Pies and Tusk Wax.

    Thursday
