Wynton Kelly was born in Brooklyn New York on December 2nd 1931 and in his 39 short years he played with some of the greatest musicians the world has ever heard, from Billie Holiday to Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and many many more. He recorded for Blue Note, Riverside, Verve and Milestone and was widely regarded as a huge talent and lays claim to being the best accompanist in the jazz world. Happy Birthday Wynton and RIP.
