Mais Um presents Global Warning
07.02.19Mais Um label founder Lewis Robinson presents his alternative world music show Global Warning – expect two hours of leftfield selections from across the globe, mixed with forthcoming releases and classic tracks from the Mais Um catalogue.
Robinson is joined live in the studio by French musician and visual artist, PR2B whose brand of surrealist chanson/cloud-rap comes to the UK for the first time. Plus, Benjamin Caschera from La Souterraine, the not-for-profit organisation championing the Francophone pop underground, will share new tracks from the French new-wave.

World music disruptor, whose label Mais Um redefined Brazilian music for an international audience. With Elza Soares, Afro-punks Metá Metá and “Amazonian Queen” Dona Onete, Robinson showed a Brazil beyond the clichés of bossa nova with acclaim from Pitchfork, The Guardian, Les Inrocks and NY Times. From 2019, Mais Um will go beyond Brazil to champion the most exciting global artists, starting with the release of “Echoes of Japan” from Japan’s Minyo Crusaders. Robinson also presents the Global Warning podcast which profiles alternative world music and has featured guests such as Ammar 808, iZem and Stick in the Wheel.
