This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Peter Van Hoesen.

Peter Van Hoesen is a Belgian electronic music producer, composer, DJ and live performer, with an atypical approach to Techno.Growing up during the peak of EBM music in Belgium, Peter was inspired and began putting on Techno events in Brussels.

He has released under various aliases including Object and RM, and founded forward-thinking labels such as Foton, Time To Express and Archives Interieures.

“It has been a while since I recorded a mix for online use. This time I did not feel like showcasing new or unreleased music, or providing a peek into my current track selection for clubs and festivals. I felt it was more appropriate to create something around a theme or concept. As I have recently been interested in ideas of alienation and loss of foundation I choose this as a central idea. Most tracks were selected because they somehow felt connected to this idea. Musically the aim of the mix was to move in and out of different sonic spaces without losing the connection between the tracks. The closing track is the odd one out, I included this one in order to return to a more earthy feeling. I hope you enjoy the journey.”
