This week’s International Tribe mix comes from duo Local Group.
Reconstituted from chewing gum, half-empty baggies and DNA scraped off of a thousand worn dancefloors, Local Group are LMajor and Corporeal Face. Residents at the celebrated small UK festival, Field Maneuvers, in Oxford, they showcase rave-influenced sounds, ranging from speed garage to hardcore.
Their release schedule is beginning to grow following 2018’s ‘Laser Dome’ EP on Ritual Poison and last year’s ’Inside Out’, out on Secret Rave with the self-explanatory ‘Fresh Rhythms’ EP arriving on Human Concrete Block. Their mix for international tribe continues the roving rave sound that has seen Local Group play alongside DJs from Eris Drew to Grooverider.
‘The mix features All time influences next to dubs from the freshest new names served with a heaping of favourites that have had heavy rotation. Includes a speed garage section time-travelling back to Field Maneuvers 2019.’
