Egypt’s Underground: Ramsey with Abdullah Miniawy

Ramsey Ibrahim will be focusing on the music of Egypt and exploring the effects of the 2011 revolution on independent artists.

Abdullah Miniawy, the Egyptian poet, singer and producer, is going to be providing an insight into life in Egypt for independent musicians before, during and after the revolution. Miniawy has performed all over the world, as well as in front of tens of thousands of people in the squares of Cairo and the city’s clubs during the revolution. He has since moved to Europe where he has been working on projects including collaborations with Le Cri du Caire (France), Carl Gari (Germany) & Hyperpotamus (Spain).
