DAR DISKU and Alex Sowinski of Badbadnotgood share sounds from across South Asia in this two hour special for Worldwide FM. The selection spans across various sub-genres including Bengali Synth Pop, Bollywood Cosmic Jazz, Hindi Electronica and pays homage to the explosion of the South Asian sound during the late 70s as well as the powerful influence that Indian music has had on contemporary western music including hip hop, pop and jazz. The mix features sounds from Asha Bhosle, Usha Uthup, Bappi Lahiri, Jai Paul, Rakim and more.

Vish first met Alex in the lobby of an East London hotel in 2015 and the pair instantly bonded over their shared love of all things percussion and food. Over time this led to conversations about music from around the globe and more recently music from South Asia. After a number of text messages exchanging rare and obscure records, the pair decided to put together this mix of their personal favourites.
