Chicago Overground is a one-off show produced in partnership with Lumpen Radio & Worldwide FM to provide a platform to showcase Chicago artists to a global audience, coming to you live from the gallery of Co-Prosperity Sphere.

Co-curated & co-hosted by Vocalo’s Ayana Contreras, Lumpen Radio’s King Hippo, and International Anthem’s Scottie McNiece, the program will feature performances, DJ sets, artist interviews & segments.

For this debut show, musical performers include the legendary 10+ piece AACM Great Black Music Ensemble, the debut of a new duo project from Sam Trump & Radius, and a solo set from singer/songwriter/pianist/former Noname musical director Akenya.

There’s also a heavy slate of DJs, including Chicago music oral historian Duane Powell, Sovereign State Records founder Ashina Hamilton, sound collagist Damon Locks, and a closing Sunday afternoon gospel set courtesy of Chicago house legend Tone B Nimble.
