Feliz Aniversário Djavan! On the birthday of a titan of Brazilian music, we celebrate his back catalogue with a special hour-long mix.

Since his debut album A Voz e O Violão (The Voice and The Guitar) containing the timeless ‘Flor De Lis’, Djavan carried his bossa nova and samba-inflected sound through the sonic renewal of the 80s and beyond, securing his place in the MPB hall of fame.

Expect to hear collaborations with artists as diverse as Chico Buarque, Zeca Pagodinho and Stevie Wonder, along with his 1986 rendition of ‘Nkosi Sikelel’ I-Afrika’, arranged with Banda Sururu de Capote.
