Our Detroit: Mothership Connection series continues with an hour of music played, mixed, produced and inspired by pioneering Detroit DJ Ken Collier.

Collier was a central figure in the late 70s/early 80’s gay scene in Detroit. He went on to heavily influence Detroit techno legends such as Derek May, Jeff Mills and Kevin Saunderson.

The show contains tracks Collier regularly span at his club Heaven, tracks he mixed or produced and tracks make in his honour. This playlist features Delano Smith talking about Collier’s influence on dance music.
